Hook and Band Hinges

Hook and Band Hinges (or Hook and Ride Hinges) are a traditional method of hanging heavier ledged doors or gates and are designed so that both the horizontal strap and vertical plate are fully visible on both the opening face of the door and the frame. These hard to find Hook and Band Hinges in Black Antique Iron are an excellent choice for both internal and external applications.
As a rule of thumb, select a hinge from approx one third to half the door/gate width for light to medium weight applications (eg. pine) and from one half to two thirds the door/gate width for heavier applications (eg. oak).
