Black Antique Iron Mortice Door Knob Furniture Ref: 32-2161 Unusual and hard to find Raised Pattern Mortice Door Knob Furniture on Square Rose Plate. The authentic, antique black wrought iron finish of this door knob will add an Old English, rustic charm to doors around the home. Knob 2" dia (50mm) Rose 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" (63mm x 63mm) Mortice application Door Knobs are designed to suit locks or latches concealed (morticed) within the edge of the door. Important: For Mortice applications we would always recommend a suitable lock or latch with a minimum backset measurement of 57mm to avoid rapping your knuckles on the door frame. This is the measurement from the edge of the door to the centre of the knob when fitted. You should consider increasing this measurement when fitting larger knob diameters or where the frame stop is greater than the normal 12mm.
