General Information Most Home Insurance companies will insist that all external, hinged doors are fitted with suitable Security Locks that have been independently tested and certified to British Standard BS3621. Locks meeting this standard will carry the BS Kitemark on the Faceplate and are generally regarded as being suitable for most domestic and commercial applications (obviously, if you're the Royal Mint you might want to consider something with a higher degree of security). Beware - there are many 5 Lever locks available that do not meet the requirements of BS3621. Fitting these cheaper locks could mean that you will not be covered in the event of forced entry.
