Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
Once your order is received we will email you to confirm the details. All orders are carefully checked to ensure that the products selected are compatible with each other.
The shipping charges detailed are for despatch to Mainland UK addressess only. International and UK off-shore customers should contact us for details of charges for deliveries made outside Mainland UK.
We accept Mastercard, Visa, Visa Electron, Switch, Solo, JCB, Meastro, Delta and American Express card payment.
Items are only charged for when ready for despatch. Any items not in stock will be placed on back order.
All prices are correct at date of publication. Goods will be charged for at prices current on date of despatch. In the event of any price changes you will, of course, be notified with the option of cancelling your order. |
Shipping And Handling UK orders will be despatched in full by 1 - 2 day Carrier or by First Class Recorded Mail where size/weight allow. The shipping charge will be added at checkout and forms a seperate contract.
If you are an International or UK off-shore customers we will work out the most appropriate method of shipping your order and will advise the cost accordingly. We will not despatch goods or take payment until we have received confirmation that the carraige charges are acceptable.
Where certain items are out of stock and you require part delivery we reserve the right to charge for carriage for each consignment made.
Shipping charges are non refundable in the event of returned goods.
Any claims for shortage or non delivery must be made within 7 days of the date of delivery.
Please ensure that you provide a delivery address where a signature can be obtained on delivery. This can be a work address or the address of a friend or relative who you can rely upon to be at home.

Delivery Schedule The vast majority of items detailed are held in stock and are normally despatched the day following receipt of order, or in the case of cheque payment or card details sent later, when full payment has been cleared. Where items are temporarily out of stock please allow 7 to 10 days for delivery.

Tax Charges All prices shown are net subject to VAT at 17.5% for all UK and EU orders.
Trade customers within the EU (excluding the UK) who have a vaild EU VAT number should enter this where indicated. This number will be checked against the EU VAT Registration database prior to shipping to prevent fraud.
All other orders are VAT free.
Overseas (non EU) customers should note that, whilst goods are despatched ex UK VAT, governments of destination countries may impose import duties on arrival at destination ports. These duties are beyond our control and are not payable to us. |

Guarantee All of our products are manufactured to high standards and are guaranteed to be supplied without fault or defect. Additional manufacturer's guarantees are included with certain products and relate to mechanical warranties etc.
Any claims for defective goods must be made within 7 days of the date of delivery.
Price Promise: All orders are subject to discounts based on order value. We promise to beat the net (excluding VAT) price offered by any other on line store for any of our Black Ironmongery products. This offer relates only to like for like products produced by the same manufacturer and offered for sale through an on line internet store where the company running the store is based in the UK. Proof of any such prices must be provided along with confirmed details of the manufacturer of the goods. |

Returns Policy All goods must be returned within 14 days of the date of delivery.
If, for what ever reason, you wish to return goods please contact us in the first instance. We will then email you with a Returns Authorisation Note which should be included with the package. Any goods returned without the appropriate documentation will be refused a credit.
Please note that any non stock goods ordered may only be returned subject to acceptance by the manufacturer.
Goods returned because they are no longer required will be subject to a 20% restocking charge (or manufacturers restocking charge) and, in the event of collection by our carrier, any credits issued may incur additional carraige charges.
Goods must be returned in their original packaging complete with all fixings etc and must be in resalable condition.
Goods returned because they have a fault will be replaced or refunded in full, subject to inspection, with no extra shipping charges made. Please note that all goods are checked prior to despatch.
