General Information:

Our traditional, British pattern Cast Iron Butt Hinges are supplied dry to avoid transfering oily marks to finished surfaces during fitting. It is essential that these hinges are oiled immediately after installation and periodically there after.

Cast Iron Butt Hinges should not be used on doors that are to be fitted with self closing devices (door closers).

Self Colour and Black finish hinges are supplied without screws. Patine finish hinges are supplied with matching wood screws.

The weight carrying guidelines for these hinges are based upon the use of three hinges (1 1/2 pairs) per leaf.
