General Information

Rim Locks/Latches are fitted to the face of the door and are designed to be used with Rim Type Door Knobs. Note that these Rim Locks are only suitable for fixing on to the opening face of the door (the side you pull to open).

Mortice Locks/Latches are morticed in to the edge of the door and should be used in conjunction with either Mortice Type Door Knobs or Lever Door Handles.

The "Backset" measurement shown against the Mortice Locks/Latches is the distance from the edge of the door to the centre of the square spindle hole.
